Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to lead OR Sterile Processing across multiple western NC sites, including Hugh Chatham Health in Elkin, Wilkes Medical Center in North Wilkesboro, and Alleghany Health in Sparta.

The role provides 24/7 strategic leadership, directing decontamination and sterilization while ensuring CMS, TJC, AAMI, AORN, and APIC compliance. Requires 1–2 years of SPD leadership experience and CBSPD/IAHCSMM certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree required.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operations of a central sterile/sterile processing department.
• Expert knowledge in sterilization and high-level disinfection processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OR SPD technicians and staff to meet performance and quality goals.
• Present data to senior leadership and OR teams to improve SPD workflows.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage inventory and tray configurations to optimize processing flow.
• Utilize instrument-tracking systems to monitor output and workloads.
