Job summary

Instrumentum in Richmond, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Manager to lead the Richmond facility’s sterile processing operations, oversee Coordinators and Technicians across shifts, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

This full-time, on-site role offers a competitive salary of $100,000–$150,000 with benefits, paid time off, and a company-supported path to certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in sterile processing operations.
• At least 2 years in a coordinator/supervisory/production-planning role.
• Certification in CHL/HSPA or CSPDM preferred or obtainable within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Sterile Processing Department across all shifts, building a culture of safety and professionalism.
• Ensure sterilized instrumentation is ready and accurate for every surgical schedule.
• Maintain survey-ready standards per AAMI, CDC, CMS, DNV, and Joint Commission.
• Analyze production data (cycle times, on-time delivery, rework) to identify process or staffing constraints.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions when quality issues arise; pause production if sterility is at risk.
• Coach Supervisors and Coordinators as primary escalation for operational issues.
