Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Manager of Sterile Processing to lead the Adult Sterile Processing department. You will plan, organize, and manage the cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of all surgical instrumentation and reusable supply items.

This role supervises staff, coordinates daily operations, ensures instruments and Case Carts are ready for the schedule, and develops process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 3 years hospital experience with progressive leadership is required.
• Certifications CSPDT or CRCST are required within 6 months; CHL or CSPDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization of instruments.
• Oversee processing, storage, and distribution of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Supervise daily department operations and staff performance.
• Monitor surgery case schedule to ensure carts and instruments are ready.
• Meet requirements established by physicians and staff; implement process improvements.
• Conduct in-service education and ensure staff training in sterile processing.
• Evaluate employee performance and provide improvement recommendations.
• Lead special projects as assigned; supervise departmental staff.
