MU Health Care is seeking a dynamic Manager of Sterile Processing to lead a high-precision team in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will drive policy implementation, staff development, and resource management to ensure safe, timely delivery of sterile instruments across surgical services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with OR staff and infection control, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in sterile processing.
• Prior managerial experience.
• CRCST certification by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA).
• Certified Healthcare Leader certification by the HSPA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the department.
• Train, develop, and evaluate sterile processing staff.
• Manage department budget, equipment, and supplies for efficiency.
• Oversee instrument decontamination, sterilization, and distribution workflows.
• Collaborate with OR, surgeons, and other healthcare staff for timely availability of instruments.
• Maintain a robust quality assurance program within sterile processing.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and infection control standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and performance evaluations with corrective actions.
