University Health is seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring safe, efficient instrument processing for patient care. You will manage budgets, equipment, and inventory while maintaining compliance with Joint Commission and other surveys.

The role requires strong administrative skills, collaboration with surgical services, and a focus on delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in an acute sterile processing department.
• Minimum of three years of experience in preparing for Joint Commission, local, state and/or federal surveys/audits.
• Current Sterile Processing Technician certification required.
• Proficiency with standard business software is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administration and fiscal management of the Sterile Processing Department.
• Manage instrument processing: decontamination, sterilization, assembly and distribution and inventory.
• Maintain instrument inventory and supplies; ensure compliance with surveys and audits.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure availability and high-quality service.
