Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Manager-West Palm Beach SPD-Day Shift to lead the Sterile Processing Department. The role ensures quality sterile/instrumentation services across the facility and satellites, adhering to Joint Commission and AAMI/AORN standards.

You will design staffing patterns, supervise staff, and drive process improvements to support patient care and safety while managing budgets and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be Certified Registered Central Service Technician by HSPA.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or Healthcare related field or equivalent experience.
• Five years of central service hospital experience with two years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control, reprocessing, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinic/hospital managers to ensure staff competency and compliance with sterilization/high-level disinfection processes.
• Oversees decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization, and high-level disinfection of reusable instrumentation.
• Develops and enforces department policies supporting organizational goals and budgets.
• Monitors financial performance and identifies cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
• Chairs the Sterilization and Disinfection Sub-committee and reports to Infection Prevention and Surveillance.
