Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Manager for the West Palm Beach SPD on day shift. You will manage all Sterile Processing Department operations, ensure compliance with Joint Commission and AAMI/AORN standards, and lead staffing, budgeting and process improvement efforts.

The role requires a CRST (HSPA), a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, and at least five years in central service with supervisory experience. Strong communication and inventory control skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA).
• Bachelor's degree in Education or healthcare field, or a combination of similar education and experience.
• Five years of central service hospital experience with two years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of inventory control, reprocessing techniques and regulatory standards.
• Current membership in a relevant professional organization and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all Sterile Processing Department operations and staffing.
• Manages decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and high-level disinfection of instruments.
• Develops and communicates department policies and ensures adherence to standards.
• Monitors financial performance and implements cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality.
• Chairs committees and reports to Infection Prevention and Surveillance on a monthly basis.
