Job summary

NYU Langone Florida in West Palm Beach is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for the SPD-Day shift. You will handle decontamination, sterile packaging and delivery of instruments to surgical suites, ensuring compliance with infection control and quality standards.

Responsibilities include operating the instrument tracking system, performing QA sampling, and assisting with inventory and storage of sterile supplies. Strong certification and high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification CBSPD/CRCST/CER/CFER preferred.
• Provisional certification acceptable with training.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of decontamination, disinfection and cleaning methods.
• Performs and documents quality assurance processes, and random sampling of products according to protocol.
• Incorporates infection control guidelines during transferring, storing and transporting sterile packages.
• Enter, modify and search information in the instrument tracking system.
• Demonstrates knowledge of sterilization processes, documentation and delivery of sterile packages.
• Knowledge of major surgical instruments preparation and assembly, inspection and packaging.
