Job summary

NYU Langone Florida seeks a Manager for the West Palm Beach SPD to oversee all operations of the Sterile Processing Department on the day shift. You will ensure high-level disinfection and sterilization of instrumentation, manage staffing and training, and partner with Infection Prevention to uphold safety and quality standards.

The role requires CRST certification, several years of supervisory Central Service experience, and strong budgeting and policy development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be certified CRST by HSPA.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or healthcare-related field.
• Five years of central service hospital experience with two years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control, supply distribution, reprocessing techniques and regulatory standards.
• Proficient computer skills and strong interpersonal/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinic and hospital managers to assure staff competency and compliance with sterilization/high-level disinfection processes.
• Oversees decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and high-level disinfection of all reusable instrumentation.
• Creates and communicates policies regarding sterilization/high-level disinfection to staff, management, nursing, and physicians.
• Develops and monitors departmental policies supporting organizational goals and ensuring they are met.
• Monitors financial performance and identifies strategies to reduce cost and improve quality of care.
