Job summary

Advocate Health's Sterile Processing Services in Grafton, WI is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. This position offers a 40-hour weekly schedule with Monday–Friday shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm and no on-call requirements.

You will train staff, supervise daily operations, and ensure timely processing and sterilization of instruments. The role requires CRCST/CSPDT/CFER certification options, a high school diploma, and typically 3 years of sterile processing

Qualifications

• Must have thorough knowledge of sterilization principles and requirements.
• Experience in inventory and asset management and quality assurance activities.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource, providing day-to-day work direction and training to staff.
• Manages department operations, schedules, and daily work assignments.
• Receives, decontaminates, sterilizes, and packages instruments per policy.
• Performs quality assurance tests to ensure sterility of supplies.
• Handles high-cost instrumentation with proper care and safety protocols.
• Coordinates case carts and communicates with operating room teams.
• Responds promptly to sterilizer failure and escalation as needed.
