Job summary

Methodist Hospital Westover Hills in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Supervisor of Sterile Processing. The Certified Lead Sterile Processing Technician will lead the SPD team, ensure instrument readiness, maintain records, and uphold national and state standards to support safe, efficient surgeries.

Qualifications include CSPDT or CRCST certification, several years in sterile processing or surgical technology, and strong leadership abilities in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years experience in sterile processing technician role OR surgical technologist role.
• New hires must have CSPDT or CRCST certification by specified dates.

Responsibilities

• Supervises personnel in sterile processing operations, orientation and training.
• Directs SPD activities and maintains compliance with standards and records.
• Lead and train Sterile Processing team, promote safety and teamwork.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and OR to ensure instrument availability.
