Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for our fast-paced SPD team. You will transport, clean, test, and assemble instruments used in 60-65 daily surgical cases, ensuring sterility and readiness for procedures.

Requires High school diploma or equivalent, 4 years experience, and CSPDT or CRCST certification. This role offers a 40-hour work week with second shift and call rotation, within a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4 years experience required. CSPDT or CRCST certification required.
• Membership in a professional central/sterile processing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports and handles soiled and sterile items with proper traffic flow.
• Performs efficacy and quality testing for processes and equipment.
• Performs sterilization processing including high/low temp methods.
• Assembles and labels instrumentation following standards.
• Maintains safety, equipment functionality, and documentation.
