Job summary

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Coordinator to lead workflow across Decontamination, Packaging, and Sterilization while upholding strict quality and regulatory standards.

The role requires SPD certification and 2+ years of experience if certified (or 5+ years if not), with ongoing competency validation and significant leadership potential in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years’ sterile processing experience if certified; five years if not.
• SPD certification is required.
• IAHCSMM CRCST or CBSPD CSPDT certification, or 5 years of applicable experience in lieu of certification, are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workflow across Decontamination, Packaging, Sterilization, QA and Quality Improvement in line with hospital policies.
• Adhere to regulatory and professional guidelines (AAMI, AORN, JC, CMS, APIC, SGNA).
• Support leadership development and maintain competency testing as required.
