Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a Lead Instrumentation Coordinator at University Hospital’s Central Sterile Supply to oversee daily sterilization, preparation and distribution of surgical instruments across the enterprise. The role ensures aseptic packaging, trains CSS Technicians, coordinates instrument trays and case carts across multiple sites, with a second shift and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing and instrument handling.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards.
• Ability to coordinate between departments and move instruments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities between Operating Room and Sterile Processing to support efficient case flow.
• Lead decontamination, assembly, and sterilization/high-level disinfection of surgical inventory.
• Organize instrument trays globally to standardize procedures across the Enterprise.

Education

High School diploma or GED

Associate degree in relevant field

CRCST or CSPDT certification required
