Job summary

What’s Upstate is seeking a Supervisor Sterile Processing to lead daily operations and train staff in the reprocessing of surgical instrumentation in full compliance with regulatory standards. The role promotes a team-based professional environment and coordinates with the SPD Manager on education and staffing needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or related experience), 1 year in Sterile Processing, and is CRST-certified, ready to guide and motivate the team while ensuring quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of experience in Sterile Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, guide and motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of processing reusable instrumentation and promotes teamwork.
• Completes and approves staff schedules and handles time-off requests.
• Ensures timely delivery of sterilized instruments to departments and storage locations.
• Demonstrates proper handling and care for supplies and instrumentation.
• Performs Sterile Processing Tech duties to support department operations.
• Adheres to AAMI ST79 standards and participates in staff training.
• Leads in-services, staff meetings and daily huddles; responds to OR calls.
