Job summary

University of Michigan Health is seeking a CSPD Supervisor to oversee sterilization and instrument processing functions in the Central Sterile Processing Department. You will plan, coordinate, supervise daily activities and maintain safety and quality standards across decontamination, sterilization and distribution.

The role requires CBSPD certification or HSPAHS Diploma and at least three years in sterile processing, with strong communication and Excel/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• Current certification through CBSPD or HSPAHS Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in sterile processing.
• Extensive knowledge of OR and clinical instrumentation.
• Demonstrated competency in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
• Strong operational and clinical skills in Central Processing.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily supervision of all CSPD shift work (receiving, decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and distribution).
• Schedules staff assignments on a daily basis and assists CSPD manager with monthly schedules.
• Ensures adherence to quality systems and safety standards.
• Maintains and documents sterilization processes and records.
• Collaborates with departments to support safe patient care.
• Participates in training, competency assessments and committees.
