Job summary

Advocate Health in Lexington is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to manage and optimize the sterile processing workflow, ensuring instruments are ready for operating rooms and that SPD processes meet quality standards.

The role requires CSPDT certification (or equivalent) with two years of SPD experience, strong communication, and PC skills including Excel and PeopleSoft for ordering and tracking. This is a 3pm–11pm shift in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required plus two years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Certification as CSPDT or other sterile processing certification required.
• Certification in Sterile Processing Management strongly encouraged within three years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and educate SPD staff across the sterile processing cycle.
• Assume Sterile Processing Supervisor duties when assigned.
• Help maintain production requirements by directing SPD employees.
