Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Coordinator to support the Sterile Processing Department with inventory management, purchasing, and operational duties. You will liaise with OR leadership, supply chain, and vendors to ensure timely procurement and availability of instruments and supplies.

The role requires attention to detail, problem solving, and collaboration across departments to maintain patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in purchasing, inventory management, supply chain operations, healthcare logistics, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory levels of surgical instruments, implants, and supplies.
• Monitor stock and replenish to support procedural services.
• Maintain par levels and adjust based on utilization trends.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory audits for accuracy.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve variances.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify improvement opportunities.
• Process special order requests and coordinate with stakeholders and vendors.
