Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Supply Control Inventory Coordinator to ensure supplies flow smoothly across the Health System. You will handle customer service, inventory control, receiving, distribution, and administrative support for Surgical Supply operations.

This role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork with clinical and operational teams; no prior experience is required, offering a path to develop healthcare supply chain skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: No prior experience required.
• Licensure: May require a valid Virginia Driver's License depending on assigned responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process material and supply requests for storeroom customers.
• Provide responsive and professional customer service to internal departments and team members.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies for accuracy, discrepancies, and visible damage.
• Process receiving transactions in the inventory system and confirm proper put-away of stock items.
• Issue supplies upon receipt of an authorized requisition and verification of appropriate personnel.
• Process shipping, credits, and other inventory-related transactions.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate inventory and supply records.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Perform quality control checks and report discrepancies or damaged materials.
• File, organize, and maintain required documentation.
• Run inventory and operational reports and assist with analyzing data.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to support timely delivery of supplies.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
