Job summary

The Ohio State University in New Albany is seeking an Instrumentation Coordinator - Sterile Processing to oversee the receipt, sterilization, and assembly of surgical instruments across the enterprise.

You will coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing, ensure aseptic packaging, track instrument availability, and assist in standardizing instrument trays across multiple reprocessing sites including Ross Heart Hospital and University Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or possess the G.E.D.
• At least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist.
• CRCST certification issued through IAHCSMM or CBSPD required upon hire, or must obtain within the first six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between the Operating Room and Sterile Processing to facilitate efficient case flow.
• Prepare, sterilize, assemble, and deliver sterile instrumentation across sites.
• Procure and standardize instrument trays across the Enterprise.
• Serve as a clinical liaison between the Operating Rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocate sterilized instrumentation.
• Support 24/7 operations across multiple reprocessing sites across the Health System.
