Job summary

Community Health Network is hiring an Instrument Technician to coordinate decontamination and sterile processing of instruments and supplies for operating room use. You will work with OR staff to ensure timely, accurate instrument readiness and handle recalls or recalls-related needs.

Under supervision, you will maintain instrument care, train staff on duties, and uphold strict infection control and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred or required within 1 year of hire.
• Experience in instrument decontamination and sterile processing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate decontamination and sterile processing in OR.
• Assemble instrument sets and ensure readiness for cases.
• Maintain records of sterilization and instrument status.
• Communicate with OR staff, vendors, and internal departments.
• Provide training on instrument duties and sterilization techniques.
• Respond to instrument recalls or emergencies.
