Job summary

Stryker Corporation is seeking a Field-based SPD role focusing on sterilization reprocessing and instrument management. You will work with SPD staff to ensure timely reprocessing of Stryker and hospital-owned instruments, with travel to various accounts as needed.

The role requires OR experience, CRCST certification within 6 months of hire, and strong communication and problem-solving skills, including coverage across sites and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree or equivalent certifications preferred.
• CRCST certification within 6 months of hire and on-time annual renewal.
• Operating room experience and knowledge of anatomy_, surgical procedures and techniques preferred.
• Must be able to troubleshoot issues in high-stress situations and provide coverage across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble rigid scopes, cameras, light cords, and power instrumentation.
• Perform in-line function testing (leak, sharpness, insulation, or power checks).
• Wrap and containerize sets for sterilization per IFU.
• Maintain and update instrumentation lists in collaboration with SPD leadership.
• Facilitate repairs, replacements, and instrument tracking per hospital protocols.
• Communicate with SPD and OR leaders regarding equipment readiness and process improvements.
