Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Sterile Processing professional in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on reprocessing surgical instruments and maintaining compliance with IFU and hospital policies, alongside SPD staff to ensure timely instrument readiness.

Candidates should have OR experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in demanding environments. On-call duties and potential travel may be required to support multiple accounts.

Qualifications

• Operating room experience and knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; strong communication and organization.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly in high-stress situations.
• Ability to provide coverage and potentially rotate shifts as needed.
• On-call availability and proximity within 45 minutes for on-call accounts.
• Willingness to travel to other accounts/regions as required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble applicable instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform inline function testing and verification checks as needed.
• Wrap and containerize sets for sterilization per IFU.
• Maintain and update instrument lists with SPD leadership.
• Facilitate repairs, replacements, and tracking per hospital protocols.
• Communicate equipment readiness and process improvements with SPD/OR.
