Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a dedicated education professional to develop interactive learning for sterile processing and endoscopy, assess competency, and update coursework in line with regulatory changes. The role oversees new-hire orientation and maintains the education calendar for mandatory trainings.

The candidate will provide education for instrument care and perioperative staff, support perioperative departments, and coordinate site/vendor education presentations, fostering teamwork

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience.
• Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
• Five years of SPD experience with 2+ years as Supervisor/Manager in SPD and at least 3 years as SPD Tech.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements interactive, scenario-based learning programs for sterile processing and endoscopy.
• Conducts annual needs assessments for staff competency and evaluates proficiency.
• Uses varied training methods and tools to maximize program effectiveness.
• Monitors and reports on training outcomes and program effectiveness.
• Documents training results and reports issues.
