Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital seeks a dedicated training specialist to develop and implement interactive, scenario-based learning programs for sterile processing and endoscopy. The role conducts annual competency assessments, evaluates proficiency, and updates coursework based on new regulations.

You will support perioperative education and lead new hire orientation, ensuring staff stay current with instrument care and processing standards.

Qualifications

• Develops and implements interactive, scenario-based learning programs for sterile processing and endoscopy responsibilities.
• Conducts annual needs assessment for staff competency and evaluates proficiency in SPD and endoscopy staff.
• Uses diverse training methods and tools to maximize learning effectiveness.
• Monitors, measures, and communicates training program effectiveness.
• Documents outcomes and reports issues related to training.
• Provides individualized orientation and education for instrument care, SPD, and Endoscopy staff with Perioperative Education.
• Oversees new hire orientation for sterile processing departments.
