Advocate Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor at the Winston Salem Campus to oversee orientation and staff training while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety. This role serves as a key resource for the SPD team and supports ongoing professional development.

The position emphasizes developing and maintaining manuals, planning education for new staff, and coordinating in-service needs across shifts to meet department goals and patient safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CSPDT or CRCST certification or equivalent required.
• Five years in Sterile Processing or 3 years with certified program.

Responsibilities

• Oversees orientation and training of new employees and ongoing education.
• Demonstrates expertise in central sterile processing and serves as staff resource.
• Educates staff on regulatory standards, current practices, and safety.
• Maintains orientation manuals and skills checklists.
• Creates individualized training plans for new staff and conducts weekly assessments.
• Coordinates in-service schedules for new instruments and continuing education.
• Maintains in-service records and ensures staff receive necessary information.
• Adapts schedules to support training across all shifts and weekends as needed.
• Collaborates with SPD Manager and OR Education Resource Team on education needs.
