Job summary

Clinical Management Consultants seeks an experienced Sterile Processing Department Supervisor to lead the SPD within a Magnet-designated hospital in New Jersey. The role focuses on decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution, ensuring instrument readiness for operating rooms and procedural areas.

You will collaborate with perioperative teams, infection prevention, and nursing leadership to promote patient safety, regulatory readiness, and continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution within SPD and connect with operating rooms and procedural areas.
• Ensure instrument traceability and adherence to manufacturers’ instructions for use.
• Collaborate with perioperative nurses, surgical technologists, physicians, infection prevention, and other hospital partners to resolve issues quickly.
• Support staff mentoring, competency development, and quality initiatives within the department.
• Assist with regulatory readiness, performance improvement, and cross-functional problem-solving to strengthen surgical quality and infection prevention.
