Responsibilities

• Coordinates sterilization schedules to meet daily OR needs and trains staff as needed.
• Completes sterilization, assembles and packages instrument trays; ensures cleanliness and readiness.
• Collects, reads and documents biological tests; alerts staff to problems with results.
• Troubleshoots equipment and coordinates repairs with other departments.
• Identifies instruments for replacement and ensures proper processing per policy.
• Implements process improvements to boost efficiency and compliance with laws.
