Job summary

Henry Ford Health in West Bloomfield is seeking a Surgical Reprocessing Technician to clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize instruments for the OR, ER, and Delivery Room. You will ensure instruments are safe, sterile, and ready for use, supporting patient care and surgical efficiency.

Requires High School diploma, Central Service Certification, and completion of a 120-day orientation; strong interpersonal and computer skills; midnight shift, full time, 40 hours weekly, with a $5,000 sign-on

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Central Service Certification.
Completion of a 120-day orientation, including department and hospital processes.
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and supplies for sterilization.
Monitor and document sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
Supply and anticipate instrumentation needs for pending surgical cases.
Receive, unpack, and stock supplies, maintaining appropriate par levels.
Coordinate with surgical teams to prepare case carts according to surgeon preference cards.
