Job summary

Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital is seeking a Surgical Reprocessing Tech to clean, inspect, assemble, and package instruments, ensuring sterile, ready-to-use equipment for surgical teams across departments such as OR, ER, and Delivery. You will monitor sterilization processes and maintain inventory to support patient care.

The role includes a 2:00pm–10:30pm schedule with full-time hours and a $5,000 sign-on bonus, contributing to a team focused on safety and efficiency in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Central Service Certification.
• Completion of a 120-day orientation, including department and hospital processes.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and hospital personnel.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and supplies for sterilization.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Supply and anticipate instrumentation needs for pending surgical cases.
• Receive, unpack, and stock supplies, maintaining appropriate par levels.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to prepare case carts according to surgeon preference cards.
