Job summary

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to ensure the safety and integrity of surgical instruments through inspection, decontamination, and sterilization. You will support surgical teams and uphold strict sterile processing protocols in a hospital environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of relevant experience, and certification from HSPA or CBSPD.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job‑specific experience.
• One or more of the following certifications required: Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from HSPA or CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Operate sterilization equipment and inspect instruments and containers for cleanliness and function.
• Decontaminate soiled instruments, containers, and equipment per IFUs and protocols.
• Assemble instrument sets according to current standards and tracking systems.
• Maintain inventory levels to support case carts and operating room needs.
• Perform regular quality assurance audits among peers.
