Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Central Service Tech/Surgical Tech to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments, and to prepare supplies and equipment for perioperative use.

The role collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to ensure timely, accurate instrument sets and continues to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; central services or surgical tech program preferred.
• Graduate of a Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification, prior experience as Central Service or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
