Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ seeks candidates for R&D Operations in the FLEx Center to support sterile GMP clinical supply and packaging for vial/syringe products. You will join a team handling aseptic formulation, isolator work, and visual inspection in Grade C environments.

Role requires GMP discipline, accurate documentation, and collaboration across Formulation, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Facilities. On-site, shift 2nd, with potential overtime. High attention to detail essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of GMP Pharmaceutical experience.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in computer systems including Microsoft Office, SAP, HMI.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Overtime availability is required in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sterile equipment and follow drawings for clinical development and manufacturing.
• Operate and maintain cleaning/sterilization equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and store sterile supplies.
• Prepare sterile products in grade A/B environments and perform closed/open formulations as required.
• Perform visual inspections of products and components for defects.
• Maintain meticulous records of processes, equipment, and conditions.
• Follow GMP SOPs and participate in deviations investigations as needed.
• Collaborate with Formulation, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Facilities teams.
• Assist in training new staff on sterile supply procedures.
