Job summary

Merck & Co., Rahway, NJ is seeking a Sr. Technician, Operations for the 2nd shift on-site in the FLEx Sterile team.

You will perform hands-on sterile processing, assembly, and aseptic formulation in a Grade C environment to support GMP clinical supply of sterile dosage forms. You will collaborate with formulators, engineers, Quality, Safety and Facilities to drive quality and on-time delivery, ensuring documentation is compliant and equipment is qualified.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in pharma manufacturing or processing
Associates degree in science/engineering with 3+ years in pharma manufacturing
Bachelors in engineering technology or related field preferred
Experience with GMP documentation and GDP practices is advantageous
Proficiency with MS Office and MES/SAP systems

Responsibilities

Assemble sterile equipment per drawings for clinical development and manufacturing
Operate sterilization equipment and manage cleaning processes
Receive, inspect, and store sterile supplies to maintain inventory
Perform closed and open aseptic formulation inside Grade A isolator
Conduct visual inspections and meticulous record keeping for all steps
Follow GMP SOPs and participate in process improvement initiatives
Assist in equipment qualification, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Maintain cleanroom practices and proper gowning in Grade C environment
