Akina Pharmacy in Sterling, VA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician specialized in sterile compounding. The role focuses on aseptic preparation, strict adherence to USP <797> regulations, and maintaining ISO-classified cleanroom conditions.

The ideal candidate will have Virginia Board of Pharmacy registration and 1–2 years of sterile compounding experience, with strong attention to detail and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Technician Trainee.
• Active sterile compounding certification (ACPE IV) is a plus.
• 1–2 years of sterile compounding experience preferred but not required.
• Strong aseptic technique and adherence to USP <797> and <800> guidelines.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding with proper garbing, gowning, and aseptic technique.
• Operate and maintain cleanroom and compounding equipment per SOPs.
• Manage inventory, restock PPE and supplies, and ensure proper storage.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and document outcomes per regulations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and QA for continuous improvement.
