EMED PHARMACY CORP is seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our outpatient team. You will prepare sterile medications with strict aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining accurate documentation and patient records.

You will provide excellent customer service, assist with prescription processing, insurance claims, and urgent refills, and collaborate with pharmacists to support safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in aseptic technique and sterile compounding.
• Experience with pharmaceutical calculations and regulatory compliance.
• Pharmacy Technician certification or license.
• Excellent communication and customer service in outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile compounded medications using strict sterile techniques.
• Ensure procedures comply with regulatory standards and maintain QA documentation.
• Maintain adherence to drug regulations in all compounding activities.
• Conduct routine cleaning of sterile areas to uphold aseptic conditions.
• Maintain patient records, dispense medications, and release prescriptions.
• Provide customer service by addressing patient inquiries and refills.
• Process insurance claims and keep patient records accurate.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by a pharmacist.

Duties

• Prepare sterile compounded medications following strict sterile techniques
• Ensure all compounding procedures comply with pharmaceutical regulatory standards and maintain documentation for quality assurance
• Maintain strict adherence to drug regulation guidelines and state healthcare regulations during all compounding activities
• Conduct routine cleaning of sterile compounding areas to uphold aseptic environment standards and prevent contamination
• Maintain accurate patient records filing, medication dispensing and medication releasing
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and handling prescription refill requests and answering phone calls promptly
• Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by a pharmacist

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience in aseptic technique, and sterile compounding procedures
• Experience with pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation compliance, and understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and support within an outpatient pharmacy setting
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork
