Job summary

BayCare seeks a Pharmacy Technician at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. This PRN, hourly position supports the pharmacy team under pharmacist supervision, with a shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Responsibilities include preparation, compounding, labeling and delivering pharmaceuticals to ensure customer satisfaction. Requires FL Pharmacy Technician license or enrollment in BayCare's employer-based program; 1 year of institutional experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED.
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License.
• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience.
• 1 year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Registration requirement: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or BayCare Employer-Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department.
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction.
• Operate under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist.
• Meet registration/licensing standards as part of the role.

• Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital
• Location: Tampa, FL
• Status: PRN - as needed, hourly
• Shift Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm
• On Call: No

Pharmacy Technician , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include:

• Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department
• Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction
• Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
• Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
• Required FL Registered Pharmacy Technician License

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience
