Job summary
Southend Pharmacy in Houston, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a Full-Time capacity. This role ensures compliance, quality, and patient safety standards within the pharmacy.
You will work 7 days on / 7 days off with 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, maintain accurate medication records, manage inventory, and support regulatory requirements. A Texas-licensed CPhT with sterile compounding experience is required.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) in good standing.
- Minimum 1+ years of recent experience in sterile compounding environments.
- Current IV Sterile Compounding Certification (e.g., ACPE-accredited sterile compounding certification).

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a Full-Time capacity. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, quality, and patient safety standards within the pharmacy.
Wednesday and Thursday: 10-hour shifts
Friday–Sunday: 12-hour shifts
Monday and Tuesday: 10-hour shifts
- Perform sterile compounding with precision and adherence to protocols
- Ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution
- Maintain proper documentation and organization of medication records
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed
- Support compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Active Registered Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
- Minimum 1+ years of recent experience in sterile compounding environments
- Ability to work required PRN schedule and maintain flexibility

Start time: 9:00 PM every night
Weekday nights (Mon–Thu): 10-hour shift
Weekend nights (Fri–Sun): 12-hour shifts
Total hours: 76 hours every two weeks (about 38 hours a week on average)
Time off: a full week off every other week
