Southend Pharmacy in Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a Full-Time capacity. This role emphasizes compliance, quality, and patient safety within the pharmacy environment.

The position offers a 7 Days On / 7 Days Off schedule with 10- and 12-hour shifts, competitive hourly pay starting around $26+ per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package. PRN scheduling flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP).
• Minimum 1+ year of recent experience in sterile compounding.
• Current IV sterile compounding certification (ACPE-accredited).
• Ability to work the required PRN schedule and maintain flexibility.

Job Summary

Southend Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a Full-Time capacity. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, quality, and patient safety standards within the pharmacy.

Work Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

Shift Days: Wednesday-Tuesday

• Wednesday and Thursday: 10-hour shifts


• Friday-Sunday: 12-hour shifts


• Monday and Tuesday: 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding with precision and adherence to protocols


• Ensure accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution


• Maintain proper documentation and organization of medication records


• Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed


• Support compliance with all regulatory and safety standards

What We Require

• Active Registered Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)


• Minimum 1+ years of recent experience in sterile compounding environments


• Current IV Sterile Compounding Certification (e.g., ACPE-accredited sterile compounding certification)


• Ability to work required PRN schedule and maintain flexibility
