The IV Compounding Technician is responsible for preparing and compounding intravenous medications under the supervision of a pharmacist. The role emphasizes mastering aseptic technique, compliance, and documentation to ensure the safe and accurate preparation of IV medications for patients.
An ideal IV Compounder is detail‑oriented, reliable, and experienced in aseptic technique and USP standards. They work efficiently in a fast‑paced cleanroom, follow SOPs closely, communicate proactively, and prioritize accuracy, sterility, and patient safety.
