Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville is seeking a Nurse for the Cardiac Stepdown Unit (7 Medical Center East). This full-time day shift role provides high-acuity, fast-paced care for adults across the heart failure, LVAD and transplant populations, bridging ICU and progressive care.

You will collaborate with the health care team, plan and evaluate care, and participate in professional development. Prior inpatient cardiology, stepdown or ICU experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Experience in inpatient cardiology, stepdown or ICU is preferred.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care across the continuum.
• Analyzes patient information to determine nursing diagnoses and interventions.
• Promotes a safe environment and supports team communication and coordination.
