Job summary

Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Surgical/Neuro Stepdown unit. The role involves delivering safe, patient-centered care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and guiding patient and family education during the nursing process.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and preferred AC LS and critical care training, with 1 year of acute care experience. Full-time days, with a 7:00am–7:30pm schedule and a generous sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Current valid State Registered Nurse License.
• Critical Care course preferred.
• BLS certificate required on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and current preferred.
• Minimum one year RN experience in acute care; CCU preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice and guide patient/family education.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and monitor hemodynamics.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
