Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Travel Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (Stepdown) 4 East. This 14-week, night-shift assignment offers a $70.00/hr pay rate and temporary full-time status.

The IMC unit cares for patients too ill for general medicine but not requiring ICU, with interventions such as ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry, heparin infusions, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula; experience in acute care required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of current acute care hospital RN experience.
• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions on IMC/Stepdown unit.
• Ventilator management, tracheostomy care, telemetry monitoring, and IV infusions.
• Post-operative cardiac and vascular patient care and coordination with team.
