Job summary

Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its stepdown unit. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, coordinate with the healthcare team, and support patients and families through the care continuum.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited RN program credential, prefer a Bachelor's degree, and possess a current state RN license with BLS and ACLS. Shift flexibility including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. Required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred
• Current state license as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); other certifications within time frame required by facility policy

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the stepdown unit
• Coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families; support discharge planning
• Document and communicate condition changes to the healthcare team
• Maintain clinical competence in stepdown nursing practices
• Participate in quality improvement and regulatory compliance
