Qualifications

• Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Maintain an active RN license in the hiring state and comply with state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification or complete within 30 days of hire.
• Certifications may be required depending on unit: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
