Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What you will do in this role

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and the leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire date. Grandfathering is accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
• Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing.
• Required License/Certification: Must hold current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NC BOC.
• Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Preferred License/Certification: National Certification in an area of specialty.
