Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead nursing care on a unit during the shift. You will coordinate, monitor, and guide the delivery of patient-centered care, partnering with a multidisciplinary team.

The CNC ensures high-quality outcomes, mentors staff, and supports admissions and discharges. Requires ADN, RN license in NC, BLS, and 1 year of RN experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

  • One year of RN experience required.
  • Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current RN license in North Carolina; eNLC license may apply.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
  • National certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What you will do in this role:

  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Required Experience:One year of RN experience
  • Preferred Experience:Hospital nursing experience
  • Required Education:Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
  • Required LicenseMust have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
  • Required Certification:BLS Healthcare Provider
  • Preferred Certification:National Certification in area of specialty
