Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality patient-centered care and coordination of unit functions during shifts. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and model our organization’s values in daily practice.

The CNC collaborates with management, supports staff coaching and scheduling, and participates in admissions and discharges while striving for outstanding clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrolled in BSN and obtain a BSN within 5 years; grandfathering may apply; RNs with 10 years or more exempt.
• Masters in Nursing is preferred.
• Must have and maintain current RN licensure with NC BON; eNLC license may apply.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Support improved outcomes and service with leadership and SME collaboration.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

• Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
• Preferred Education: Masters in Nursing.
• Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
• Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in area of specialty
