Job summary

UPMC St. Margaret's 3B Step Down Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to care for patients transitioning from critical care, including those with complex cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical needs. You’ll work three 12-hour shifts weekly on a rotating day/night schedule, with weekends and holidays shared among the team.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process and creates a plan of care.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment and effective communication with the care team.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Ensures patient documentation is accurate and comprehensive.
