Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced RN for Medicine Step Down days, to provide high-quality care in a hospital setting. The RN I position supports supervision under guidance, maintains professional standards, and collaborates with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include an ADN or BSN, RN license in Oklahoma, 0-3 years of patient care, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Nursing theory and practice knowledge.
• Ability to document patient responses and treatments.
• Strong communication with patients and team.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and nursing standards.
• Manages care for assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents responses to interventions and medication administration per orders.
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Monitors patient data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers safe, competent patient care and coordinates with staff.
